Congratulations to the CCHSG Year 12 team who have made it through to the National European Youth Parliament Competition in Liverpool in July.

EYP supports the development of young people into politically aware and responsible citizens by involving them in European political thinking and promoting intercultural understanding. The European Youth Parliament is one of Europe’s largest youth platforms for civic education, intercultural encounters, and the exchange of ideas.  EYP is represented in 40 countries across Europe and around 25,000 young people take part in EYP events every year.

The national competition involves working as a team to create a resolution to an issue they have chosen.  Delegates then take part in a general assembly where they debate the session’s resolutions.  Participants are judged on teamwork, ambassadorial qualities, development, and participation.  The best school teams from each National Session are selected to represent the United Kingdom at International Sessions and Forums, held across the entire EYP network.
