Essex's state secondary schools have been ranked by their happiness, with Colchester County High School for Girls ranked joint 13th, with a satisfaction or happiness rate of 92 per cent. The Sunday Times has made a list of Ofsted's Parent View analysis between 2020 and 2025, parents fill out surveys about their children's schools, to rank the schools with the highest parental satisfaction.  The Sunday Times chose the year in which the largest number of surveys had been completed, typically the year of the school's Ofsted inspection.  It also only chose schools with at least 500 places and 100 parents in a single year meaning 1,934 state secondary schools in England and Wales were excluded from the list.
CCHS Associate Principal, Mrs Frost, said: “To ensure strong relationships with parents, we prioritise open communication, regular feedback, and community involvement, creating a strong partnership and cohesion that benefits our students' education and well-being. We would like to thank our staff and our governors for their belief in the value of the broad, innovative and ambitious curriculum that CCHSG provides, and we are very grateful to our parents and carers for their unrelenting support, which has always been fundamental to our success."
