Linda Louise Duan - 2004-11

Linda’s acting career began with a Saturday morning drama club in Stanway, then she was involved with the Chinese School at Thomas Lord Audley School where she met Hui Ling, a former member of the Chinese State Circus and who now has an entertainment business. She involved Linda in some parades and a part in the team on the red carpet in the Kung Fu Panda film. Linda did martial arts at Colchester JKA karate club from the age of 14 and it was this, together with her ethnicity, that attracted the film makers.

After leaving CCHS Linda trained for two years at theatre schools in London and France and ended up working in Israel on a physical theatre multi-media project. She had put her details on a movie database for actors and whilst she was in Israel a call came through from a film producer. They insisted she returned to London for an initial audition and after she had taken part in a series of auditions with many international actors she was chosen for the part of Tina Minoru in “Doctor Strange”. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
