Editor's Notes

Are we all ready for the many events that Jean Johnson has again organised for this year?  We have such fun at these and it is a shame that some are not too well attended.  Look at What's On for details of the next events and reply slips, including our AGM on Saturday 27th July at the School.  The minutes of our last AGM are printed in this Newsletter.  Joan Gurney, despite her continuing protestations, has sent yet another article for us to relish.  My thanks also to Jo Edwards, for her careful scrutiny of local newspapers, to find interesting stories relating to the School!

The current school uniform can be seen on the school’s website and there may be other photographs of past uniform held by the school. If you have any photos or memories of your school uniform, please let me know, or contact Kate Stubbs at the school.  Do you remember having to kneel down, so Mrs Pipe, the scary PE mistress, could check that your skirt was no more than three inches from the floor!  When we knew this was going to happen we unrolled our skirts at the waist and afterwards rolled them up again!
